Kiddie Music for the Wole Family!

Listening to kiddie songs repeatedly can be tiresome for adults. So, we compiled a list of kiddie music for the whole family that everyone will love!

Kids and music go together like peanut butter and jelly. Before kids stand, walk, sing, or even talk, they can dance and respond to music. Music can be soothing and uplifting, help us process our emotions, and energize us when we’re down.

Listening to music and dancing develops a child’s brain in many ways! For example, listening to music develops motor and auditory skills. It increases cognitive development and improves verbal and nonverbal reasoning.

We all know Raffi, Laurie Berkner, and the Wiggles, and they’re all great, but many great kiddie bands and musicians are out there when you need something different.

For online fun, try out our newest music game, Birds on the Wires, which lets your child play along with familiar tunes or compose their masterpieces!

Read below to check out some of the best kiddie music for the whole family!

Lunch Money’s tagline is indie rock for the whole family — and they aren’t kidding! Their fun, unique kiddie music for the whole family has topped the charts on XM/Sirius children’s radio. While the band is no longer together, you can still listen to their tunes on their website and streaming sites like Amazon Music.

They Might Be Giants

If you were a kid or teen in the 90s, you might be familiar with this quirky indie band. They’re also the geniuses behind the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Hot Dog theme song. Their funky and fun album, Here Come the ABCS, is a great way to rock out with your toddler or preschooler while learning their letters!

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo

Milkshake is a band on a mission: to create great rock music for kids. The band tours yearly, so look for them at family festivals around the Baltimore/D.C. area. If you’re not on the East Coast, visit their website to listen to their songs!

Putumayo

Putumayo is an excellent way to expose your children to music worldwide. From funky bossa nova to chill French jazz to folky Celtic vibes and upbeat Latin dance music, this is some of the best kiddie music for the whole family.
